We had to leave for the weekend early to get to the Island. There were reports that the GW Bridge was closed, so I was getting antsy to get going. However, a relative of mine, (and of Sir Sleepsalot) was supposed to come with us. We called him. repeatedly, as it got closer and closer to the time we needed to leave.
No response. No response. No response.
I was about to just pull out when he finally called back. Seems he had just returned from the Coast, and apparently was sleeping. Didn't hear the phone, didn't set an alarm. What he was planning to do is beyond me.
Relatives make me nuts.
Being that I have training in psychology, and after reading your recent blogs, I can't help but wonder if any of your family members used to wake you regularly in some strange manner, such as spilling cold water on you, or ripping off your blanket. You seem quite pre-occupied with relatives' sleep patterns. In some cases, this is a classic case of transference. My recommendation is that you confront the family member and let them know how they've impacted your life. Once you're free, take half an ambien twice a week, and allow yourself a peaceful and restful sleep. You'll look at your relatives in a whole new light. Btw, this one's n/c.
ReplyDeleteBibi, it is not the sleep patterns that concern me, it is the wake patterns, or failure to do so that imact on me that are of a concern to me.
ReplyDeletenot all relatives. I seem to recall you have one who fixes up your car every time he is in it, you gotta love that!
